Evenings during Yachting Festival

Where it happens, and how

A very strong evening culture, but mainly on board: shipyards and brokers hold their cocktails and dinners on their own moored yachts rather than privatising venues ashore. That is the structural difference with MIPCOM or MAPIC. The official Friday late night until 10 PM pushes the event out into the city. The onshore overflow concentrates on Le Suquet and Quai Saint-Pierre, just above the Old Port, and around Palm Beach on the Port Canto side. The Croisette private beaches are still open in early September.

On foot from Loka

88 rue Meynadier, 06400 Cannes — in the heart of old Cannes, between the Forville market and the Old Port.
Old Port / Quai Saint-Pierre≈ 250 m · 3 min
Palais des Festivals≈ 600 m · 8 min
Croisette (Carlton / Majestic)≈ 1,1 km · 14 min
Port Canto / Palm Beach≈ 2,3 km · 28 min
Cannes railway station≈ 700 m · 9 min

Why Loka during Yachting Festival

The casa, a 3 min walk from the Old Port / Quai Saint-Pierre

Loka is a three-minute walk from Quai Saint-Pierre — the closest address to the Old Port able to host 70 people on a full buy-out. A shipyard wanting to extend the day once the pontoons close, a broker entertaining clients ashore, a team of exhibitors having dinner together: three minutes' walk from the stand. Six days of show, peaking on Friday evening. See the private hire page or book a table for a group of fewer than 8.

When to book

Very high pressure: September combines the end of the tourist season with the show and saturates Cannes and the whole Riviera (Antibes, Mandelieu, Juan-les-Pins). The official accommodation partner is Bnetwork. Book 9–12 months ahead for a hotel near the port.
